Little hearts?

Once or twice I've noticed that for a few moments, a building has little red bouncy hearts floating up from it. What does that mean? Somebody is getting married? Somebody is writing steamy fan mail to me, the mayor? Somebody is having a heart attack?

I’ve noticed the same thing but the few times I’ve seen it I wasn’t zoomed enough to tell what building it was coming from. I thought I saw it pop on a commercial building once but there was residential in the area too so I could have just mis-identified which building it was over.

Marriage is my best guess. Building leveling up has it’s own icons and I’d imagine they’d be more frequent if it was happiness.

Eyyy - caught one in the wild. Love is in the air, down at NomSoba Noodle. So it looks like it can be commercial too.

I got one today, it was in an area which only had water pumps and a garage, so I guess people got married in the garage? lol

I had one at a burger place in town just after noticing a valentines event on the event feed in February. Check the month it’s probably related.

Wait, that event is functional? I saw it in the developer mode tools but didnt think it "worked".

Valentines day is definitely shown in the event calendar

Definitely valentines related. The event popped up again and found a building hosting the event. Seems to be active for over 12 in game hours.

The latest one was at one of the signature buildings. Epicurean Garden. Not sure if the building used is random or if the event is at multiple locations each year.
