Hi again,

First thing to say is that this thread is not meant to complain about the race (which by the way I find very nice) but rather to mention some stuff that might be adressed to them due to their special nature and behavior. I though that fitting everything people finds on one thread should help to work with them and correct the race if it's seen necessary.

As I've read, some people have found the fact that building ships is cheaper than working directly with cubes (while the two options should be the same).

The thing I've just reallized is that the overpopulation slider is uselless to the race (as they burn biomes) but is set to 50%, which means it can be set to 100% without any apparent drawback (so I think it's more like an exploit). Has anyone found more weird stuff who considers worth mention?

Been trying to build a research station in the capital system for a while now, and every time I give the order the fleet I ordered goes into processing the order, the system reports it is producing something that will be done in 2 turns but the build queue shows as empty...

At the end of the order no station is produced.

Not entirely sure what I am missing, or if Loa currently are unable to make stations at all due to a bug.

Edit: Found the cause, it was because I was using a fleet without a constructor on the assumption that either:

A) I would be prompted for composition of the fleet to change the layout to include one (This never happened).

B) The game would automatically produce a constructor at the system and merge it into the fleet for the duration of the mission replacing another ship (This also never happened).

So as it stands you can currently give fleets with no construction ships, orders to build a station using a fleet composition that will never be able to complete the job, but it will still fly off and go through all the steps anyway.

Overpopulation will use up resources thereby lowering industrial score/points. I say max that population wherever you won't be building ships.

Aside from the bugs, main issue with Loa is the gate system. It must be the worst of all FTL travel methods - it's a serious Achilles' heel, has slow ass movement, and it consumes resources. Also, fleets ignore the gate system and always prefer a straight line. I understand this will be addressed later, but it makes Loa pointless to play except as a novelty.
