Hi,
I'm trying to convert a sunni provence (cored, it's ceuta, playing as Portugal).

When hovering over the send missionary button in the provence menu it says: -0.7% (2% base value, -2% for sunni en -0.7% for development. no culture modifier I made Marroccan an accepted culture in Portugal). So conversion would never happen.

So, since I earlier assigned the provence to the clergy I made a generous donation so their loyalty reached above 60%. One of the modifiers for this should be +2% local missionary strength (and the tooltip hovering over the Clergy in de Ceuta menu does show this this modifier as well!).

However when hovering over the icon to send missionary it still calculates -0.7% and the local missionary strength modifier of the clergy is not shown and taken into account.

Does anyone know what might be wrong? Is it a bug or am I misunderstanding something (probably). Playing with all the DLCs.

Changes to the local missionary strength modifiers often don't update immediately. Try to wait one month tick. Sometimes it also helps to open another province or try to convert and abort it again, but I'm not sure what exactly you need to do to get the information to update. If you really want to convert the province, try to hire an inquisitor advisor. You can get one from the clergy. If they have over 80 influence, the advisor will be 50% cheaper.

Thanks for the answer. I was mostly making sure I understood all correctly (it's most annoying when you're not sure whether it's a bug or not lol).

It worked when I loaded the game today. I'm still not sure what caused it to recalculate since closing and reloading the game last night did not fix it.
