Jup. The fun thing is that there might be running games right under your nose even when VNet seems to be empty and suddenly a bunch of people pops up and wants you to join a savegame
I also experienced that it usually just takes two people actually staying and talking and in a few there are enough people for a good game. Most people simply leave as soon as they see no one on VNet, but that's exactly the wrong way to get a game going
Besides that ICQ and (M)IRC - are also a good thing to get other players.
And if you come into Vnet and the guy sitting there does not immeidately respond, hang around a few minutes. He might have gone into the bathroom to take a piss, or into the kitchen to grab another beer.
