So I'm planning to do a larger mod than I normally do. The overall purpose of the mod is to add more flavor. To that end I will eventually add in more events for the court but right now I want to focus on some specific pagan changes.I 'm going to combine some mods, add new bloodlines, and add modifiers for doctrines that do not currently have modifiers.
I'm also going to create at least one new synergy AV/animism. I haven't decided on a name but what I plan on having is a few more events (or rites) associated with a character's major life events (e.g. birth, marriage). At each stage of completion the character gets a new (upgraded) trait, sort of like raider/pirate and BG traits. If the character goes through all the rites when they die they make a new bloodline.
As the bloodlines are guaranteed provided the requirements are met I'm thinking these bloodlines should be more flavorful than powerful, but taking animism means giving up other things (+levy size, other docs) so I'm wondering what other people think. I was thinking about adding bloodlines that gave bonuses to stats or maybe adds a trait such as just.
To gain one of the traits I'm going to make a new ambition that is sort of a combo between Astrology and forge bloodline events: the ambition is to fulfill destiny (which is determined at birth). I would like the options to be obtainable whether a person is playing tall or wide (although perhaps the player has to be at least duke tier; I haven't decided on that yet). Is this a realistic goal or should I decide on one playstyle over the other? Maybe make some of them wide friendly and the others tall friendly?
Thanks in advance.
