Nothing offical yet Nim, plenty of speculation though. Keep your eye on the Victoria beta and chart its progression, that might be the best gauge for when CK will be close, save for something official.
 
Out with Victoria?! IIRC, CK was announced way back when HoI was. Victoria's a relatively new announcement, isnt it? And CK wont be out before Victoria? :(
 
CK will be out before fall i think the beacuse all the have left is a short euro-american beta left they already have most of the kinks out from their russian bea which has be goin for a while now.
Annyways Ck was annouced when the project was started and vic was annouced when the beta started a big differnece in my humble opion

There is no Russian beta going on now!

Noone on the russian forums has ever heard of any russian beta, nor has Sergei said anything to the effect that a beta is going on. (Except mentioning that they are 'playtesting')

However his plan seems to be a very short beta anyway, so it might be finished quickly.

Yes, it sounds like the game will be complete when it goes to beta and that the main purpose of the beta will be to test across systems to detect and fix bugs.
 
Didn't sergei say in one of the dev. diaries that the AI dynasties were braindead? Or didn't I understand him correctly? :confused:

Why should the release dates of Ck and Victoria be linked in any way?

And there is no Russian beta to my knowledge.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if Victoria comes out way before CK.

They are linked by timing, unless Paradox can do 2 beta's at a time. Per Johan on another string Paradox will be beta testing CK, as Victoria is in the process of beta now it seems that CK would wait until Vic is finished.

Unless they do 2 at once, there hasnt been any indication of that.

Just a hypothesis, could be wrong but thats how I see them linked anyway

by CK beta has nothing to do with Paradox. It is going to be done by Snowball.

They are already running five betas as we speak. One more won't hurt much... :D

The beta testing will be done by paradox, so therefore it does have something to do with them, and the release.

Didnt know that, thought they were a small outfit. 5 seems like a lot Harvard but you would know better then I would so obviously I retract my hypothesis.

Victoria beta, HoI beta (1.05), EU2 public beta (1.08), CoW localisation beta, CotN localisation beta :)

Not all of them are very active though, but there is no problem running things parallell with other tasks :)
