There is now an install guide for BattleTech Extended 3025.

This modpack is unusual in that you do not need to delete your previous saves, nor hold off on updates, as it is simply the base game with a lot of extra toys that fit the 3025 era, with community fixes, QoL, etc. There is no core gameplay changes.

If that sounds good to you, you can find the guide in the usual thread:

This is a nice quick writeup about a modpack. Have you considered making a thread that just has a list of the modpacks you have played and what they do in a short 1-2 sentence line with a link to your videos featuring it? Would be nice for people shopping around for a modpack to see the big features side by side.

I could expand the install guide pin to include a short description of each, or do a video review of them all...

Or just make a meme picture? XD.

@Edmon While I wouldn't call "101 new weapons, 32 new ammo types, 14 upgrades, 80 new mech variants, 35 new vehicle types and thousands of tweaks" limited content, this is otherwise pretty darn accurate. Well, aside from the 50 hours needed to install the mod. I've never been able to do it in less than 70 myself.

Now as for the "No Clans" point... We'll see about that in the future, shall we? :D

Just goes to show how much stuff is in the other two, to be fair XD.

Glad you took it all in the sense of humour it was intended to have :D

ANd if the install time is just to doggone short for you worry not!
For the following mods with take in very nicely and politely with 3025 extended..

SLDF Royal Divisions
Vehicle improvement project (for what the included JK V's doesn't have)
Project 3039 (for the Marshal, and the Dervish..sweet rides)
Weapon Diversity 3039

The following quality of life mods work nicely and I do recommend them.

Loot Magnet
Skip Intro
Skip Travel Cutscenes
Pilot Quirks (there is a package here.. just install the elements you want)
Pilot Health Popup
Panic System
Mech maintenance by weight
Melee Mover
Global Difficulty by Company
Flashpoint-The Raid (unless you don't have flashpoint installed..) ((no need to install the flashpoint photos's as they're included in the required community assets bundle (CAB) anyway))

And I firmly recommend the improved majesty metal 3 years later. Though I personally have modded mine so the defending mech are not in a damaged state..it can suddenly be a bit dicey. Kinda makes up for in the mod that you get pretty much 100% salvage. You just gotta work a little harder for it. Personally I'd add a second turret generator. If your not comfortable doing this then don't. Be aware that this one is a file replacement of original game files so make backups. The original modder has never made it Modtek compliant.

The mod does come with Random Campaign Start. You can safely remove this particular sub mod if you which and go with full vanilla start though if your running weapon diversity your family Blackjack is going to be a slightly nastier beast then the pure stock ride. I firmly recommend opening this up taking a look at whats there and adding some mechs from the additional content if you keep it in.

These work nicely together.. I'm working on a mod with a crapload of additional flashpoints made and added heavy on the lore and story and the above amounts to my base install.
Hitt'n roadblocks on creating the flashpoint content but I'm also not in any big rush. it could be a couple months or more

Maybe, not heard much about XAI in recent times or on here... I need to do some more research.

it is somewhat similar to XLRP
biggest difference is no mechengineer and it brings things closer to TT roots.

i am currently using XAI....tried XLRP its fun but XAI is more to my taste

My favorite part of that meme is that the RogueTech cat includes the Kitchen Sink :D

They already got a Fridge 'Mech....
