Mac graphical map bug

as soon as i first installed the game and every time since i launched it there was this persistent problem with the zoomed in map with square tiles in the land and the sea. it appears to be a problem with the mac operating system itself as i ran imperator rome on bootcamp (pc for mac) and the game ran fine with no problems.

As mentioned in the general forum when you posted there, your 2013 imac doesn't look like it meets the minimum requirements to run on mac OS X. The windows minimum requirements are significantly lower for Imperator, so it wouldn't be surprising that it runs smoother on windows.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/pdx_settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

do you think that Paradox might optimize it better for mac OS is the future? i recall having the same problem with hoi4 when it first came out

Yes, I'm afraid your Mac only has an Intel video system, which is not supported hardware on any OS for this, or any of our, games.

Quite often games run better on unsupported video hardware under Windows because DirectX is a more polished standard than openGL.

I doubt the devs will spend time making the game run better on unsupported hardware, I am sorry.
