Hello there

I was able to play Victoria 3 on my MacBook pro M1 laptops but after the newest update 13.0 Ventura, the issue was highlighted to your teams already it seems. News website suggested the devs are working on a resolution. My current version on my Steam Victoria 3 is I think 1.1.2 it updated a few days ago. I am still having crash issues till date even after having the update. I really love this game and really cant wait to play again. Please request to have a look at this. I have attached couple of screenshots of the concerns.

Thank you.

The developers have said they'll look into doing a native Apple Silicon version of this game, but that has not happened yet. So strictly speaking at present that is not supported hardware for this game.

If you got the impression that 1.1.2 was supposed to contain that fix, it was not I'm afraid! Here is what it contains:

Hi Andrew
Thanks for the reply, I am looking forward to the update for Apple Silicon Chips. We have limited games available for us and an existing game which I have played for 12.7 hours in the past suddenly stopped working. I really hope this would be fixed. Who doesnt love this game. Its an amazing game with such indepth dynamics. As I have mentioned, this game was working on M1 chips up until the recent MAC update. REally like this game.

You could perhaps report that to Apple? As that seems like a definite problem in their Rosetta emulation!

Apple is hopeless and I actually paid to buy this game not from apple. We apple users have such limited games but this is an amazing game. It was working before V13 of MacOS perfectly and I have played hours of this before with no crashes.

For those in the future, I managed to get it to work by launching the game directly and bypassing the launcher. Go to Steam>Victoria 3>Properties>Installed Files>Browse; then go to the folder binaries, and click on Victoria 3. For some reason, that fixed the issue.
