The Mac Intel-specific problem was fixed in something like 1.07 or 1.08, I forget exactly. We're up to 1.092 - which has its own problems, but not that one.

Maybe you are making confusion between bugs: the freeze-your-whole-os bug under Intel HD 3000 and OS X has NOT been fixed in 1.07 or 1.08 or in any later patch.
People are reporting it in 1.091 (there is a six pages long thread about it here) and I just tried 1.092 and the bug it's still there, as always from release day.
Also no patch changelog has ever indicated the bug as fixed. Actually no devs has ever told us the bug is being worked on, the only post from a PI person in that thread is from a QA guy...

I was talking about the original "won't load at all" bug which affected all Mac Intel machines.
