macOS crashing in 16.2

Hello

I'm playing from a MacBook Pro, have several +1000 hours in the game.
Ever since the Persia update, the game have become almost unplayable for me, and I will experience a crash every time I open up the game.

The crashes are triggered by different things, most often when I form a new nation via decision, that will cause a crash more than 50% of the time.
Crashes also occur in normal gameplay, such as navigating the map, whether the game is paused or not.


Mods are not enabled, all major DLCs are. I have verified files on Steam, reinstalled and deleted my "documents->EUIV" folder, the crashes persists.
I can't recall whether the issues started with the 16.0 Persia update or the following minor updates.

Do you mean version 1.36.2 ? Version 1.16.2 is 7 years old.
There have been an increased number of crashes on macOS since 1.36.0. One of them happens when Byzantium gets annexed. If you have crashes in other situations, it might be useful if you post a bugreport about them and attach the exception.txt from the crash from the "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/crashes" folder. If you have a save game in which a crash can be reproduced, it would also be useful if you attach that save and explain what has to be done to reproduce the crash(e.g. which button to press or at which date it crashes if unpausing is enough).
