Magicka 2 Double Letter Glitch

Hello I really hope someone sees this but I have just started Magicka 2, and I want to play with others, but when I attempt to put in my paradox account every time I type one letter it puts in 2 letters instead, and yes I have tried deleting the letters and moving the arrows, still double. Pls send halp

I've got the same issue, I just purchased and downloaded Magicka 2 on Steam this morning.

I'm on Mac OS X 10.9.5. I just use a standard Monoprice K11 USB mechanical keyboard.

This is the only application (game or otherwise) where this has happened, aside from me hitting the same key twice in a row that is!

Some users have reported that updating Steam fixed their keyboard. The engine uses CoreFoundation for keyboard inputs. It used to be that way with mouse but then we changed it which solved a lot of mouse-related issues. I guess we'd have to do something similar for keyboard if nothing helps.

i've got the most recent update to Steam… package version 1454620878 released on Feb. 04, 2016, and I am still experiencing the error. i just confirmed it about 5 min. ago (20:00 GMT -05:00).

Ok, thanks for verifying. It seems this only had to do with the space bar not working then. We are looking into making a patch for this among other stuff that's been reported.

so the name of my wizard is abnormal, can anyone rename the character to "shtshang"?

A friend got me Magicka 2 on Steam this morning, and I'm encountering the same issue. Considering they got it for me to play with them and some other friends, being unable to link this newly-made Paradox account to play online with them is a bit of a disappointment. I tried linking Paradox and Steam through my browser (and my Paradox account overview recognizes that I own Magicka 2 on Steam) but the game isn't recognizing that and still prompts me to log in.

I'm on OSX 10.9.5 on a MacBook Pro with Retina, using the laptop's built-in keyboard. Steam is most recent - package ver 1459463254, March 31 2016.

I upgraded my OS to Mac OSX El Capitan (10.11.x) and my issue with the double-letter glitch seems to have gone away. I think this issue may be confined to Mac OSX Mavericks (10.9.x), the devs will have to investigate and try and confirm this.

Has this issue been fixed? I've just downloaded the game and opened it up and when I go to sign in it also has the double letters? I actually just updated my MAC also...is there something else I need to do to fix this issue?

A friend of mine just fixed it by linking their paradox account to steam via this website, making the login automatic. You still have to use a weird username, though
