i bought the magicka collection on steam a while back, today i found out that there was new DLC for the game and i though since i had bought the Magicka Collection wich included ALL DlC then i should get the new ones, now im not shure if it is on purpose or if this is an error, i would like help in confirmation of this and if it is on purpose that i will hav eto pay forth new DLC then why is that? We should be entitled to what we purchased, which is EVERY DLC! thanks :p

Did it actually say that anywhere, or is that just your interpretation? :p

As far as I'm aware the collection includes what's listed in the pack, and nothing more. Then again I haven't read it though, but it seems you haven't either?

This have been asked over at steam also. So BoernerMan, in your opinion you should also receive DLC's released 6 months from now for free. And the ones 2 years from now also ? No my friend. That's never been the case, and will most likely never be. Quote below is Arrowheads answer from steam forum (here).

Hey LSWSjr
The bundle never contains any pre-purchases, it always contains what's been released up to the day of purchase and the price of the bundle changes accordingly.

Stuff gets cheaper as it gets older and new stuff comes out.
You can always wait right until the end and buy everything cheap, but then you wouldn't have been playing the game up to now ;)

Oh noes! Those dev's want money to make more content!? How dare they!

The fact that people go a bunch of dlc at a discounted price isn't enough. They want all new dlc that comes out for free, because £4 every few months is FAR too much to ask for. It is clearly the dev's who are being greedy.

(Note the sarcasm)

Then people would complain that the complete pack isn't complete. :p

Plus it encourages new players to buy the lot, rather than just the original game. If they only got half the DLC, they may not bother with it. Either ways its a bonus for both.

Don't harass the guy just for asking a question. (We're better then that in here, right)

I guess it's a way to try and sell more of the "full game", prizing the current "complete" in much the same region as it was prior to last patch. As zenstar already said, game gets cheaper as time goes on. Also, I assume, and probably Paradox/Arrowhead also, there's some "threshold" somewhere, where buyers will prefer some other game. Currently it's ~30€, to me looks just about right for a complete full prise (up till now) Magicka.

My issue with Steam and Magicka is that unlike every other game/dlc I own, the ones for Magicka are not listed as owning them when looking in the store pages. I sent a Steam ticket about it as I could see where someone could double purchase dlcs and it appears to be a glitch with Steam.

A discount for those that already have the "collection" for newly released DLCs would be nice. I know steam is capable of such things. For example RO2 was cheaper if you owned RO1.

and why those who have "complete pack" should be treated better than those, who bought only "core" game (with "complete pack of bugs") for 10€ and then separately DLCs? ;-) what makes them so special? ;P
pay full price - devs deserve this, as game is awsome.

Same reason as the one that makes those who buy the collection pay less for the DLCs than those who buy them separately. Encourage people to buy everything even if they're not extremely excited about it, as long as they actually buy everything.

I'm going to just wait for a big discount, really. The DLC is quite short, and what keeps this game alive for me is mostly the PvP anyway.

interesting. so if I would go to shop and buy pack of shampoo + shower gel, I should expect, that since now I sholud pay less for all types of shower gels from this manufacturer than those, who bought shampoo and shower gel separately on that day? ;-)

I think this thread is close to having run its course.
No need to start badgering people or getting personal. Everyone can stay civil.

Exactly. Please be nice to each other.
