One thing that I think would make the game more realistic is that if tram/metro tracks and trolley wires needed maintainance, just like the vehicles. Also, if occasionally, the game randomly closed roads for road works, and we had to divert services around them. The user would be told about when the roads were to be closed, or when there was a low condition on a certain piece of track or trolley wire. Then, they would have to close part of the service(s) that operate on that piece of infrastructure and create a replacement bus service for alternative route for the line. The player would be able choose when to close the line, but if the infrastructure got to below 5% condition, there would be an accident or vehicles would remain stationary on the route. During maintainance, players should also be given the option to run the line in two seperate halves, with the vehicles turning around at the last stop before the closed piece of line, but this may require a new terminating feature in the game, so I can understand if CO don't want to implement that particular part of this. Eventually though, maintainance will end, and the line will continue as normal again, and the player will be notified about this.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you consider this CO, as it will add lots more realism to the game.
