This monstrous expansion for the monsterly awesome Majesty2 set to release on December 7th.

Monsters! We love them here at Paradox Interactive. Any word deriving from the word ‘monster’ we love too. So you can imagine our squeals of delight that we now get to tell the world that the final expansion Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom will release on 7th December via digital download for a suggested retail price of $14.99, €14.99 and £9.99. That’s some serious monstrousness right there! (Ok, we’re starting to run out of monster words)

Take a look at the brand new trailer below or by clicking the following link:

In this final expansion, players continue the story from the land of Ardania. Only now the king has been overthrown and has fled the safety of his palace. With only his trusted advisor and his bedclothes to spare his blushes, the unseated king must turn to former enemies in order to reacquire the throne. Gather the gaggle of creatures, train them, equip them and send them forth. Order them to attack your betrayers and retake what is yours. Monster Kingdom contains a new ten mission campaign called “Exiles of Fate”. With a host of new buildings, heroes, abilities and guild powers to discover.

About Majesty 2
In the world of Majesty 2, you are the ruler of the kingdom of Ardania. At your service are your loyal and somewhat obnoxious subordinates who have their own minds about how things should be done. Majesty 2 is a unique real-time strategy game with indirect control where your heroes decide on their own what should be done and when, leaving you to try to control them through monetary incentives.

One king to rule them all... in 8 or 10 missions? The trailer says 10 new missions, the announcement above says a campaign of 8 new missions. Doesn't matter, I'll buy it anyway... after Steam gave us Battle of Ardania...

Final expansion?

:(

Oh, and thank you for not making any exclusive deals with Valve/Steam.

I despise that company, refuse to run their client, and would really hate to have missed all these Majesty 2 expansions and content because of that.

Could someone please give a reason for the 1$ = 1€, is there some extra tax for the US or are we in europe always getting ripped off?

1 US-dollar = 0,755 euro

Please Stop

Haven't you dragged Majesty through the mud enough? I mean it was bad enough when Kingmaker didn't even include playable goblins (which the comments clearly showed the videos and screenshots had lead people to believe) and that you blokes have pretty much ignored everything said on the "What's Missing" thread, but does anyone even buy these anymore?

I just wonder what they mean with : "With a host of new buildings, heroes, abilities and guild powers to discover. "
Do we have to have to buy them seperately in the store?
Is it: Host of new buildings (can we build them or are it static building like those towers?) New heroes, can we even build them ourselvers. Abilities of mobs? Guild powers: Several or do I have to read it as: a horde of new stuff as 1 part:
i.e. 1 new building, 1 new hero, 1 new ability, 1 new guild power. As far as I am experienced with the makers now that is the same as a horde of all those things.

...so it is now December 7, but no sign of Monster Kingdom on GamersGate. Has the release been delayed?

Why is it that none of the Majesty 2 expansions is ever in the Coming Soon section? BoA had no presence on GamersGate until the moment it was released. I would like to get the Blue Coin bonus for pre-ordering. Also, it would be nice to get a notification when the game is available. Neither is possible when the game is not listed.

It's December the 8th for me, and I still can't digitally download it off of D2D. And just in case, I looked it up on GamersGate, and it's not there either. When shall it be released digitally?

I understand that Paradox is the publisher, not the developer. Nevertheless, if there is a delay, you should make an announcement, if only as a courtesy. Preferably, let the customers know what the issue is (some of us are curious). Moreover, it is easier to be patient and sympathetic if we know what is happening. Minimally, please give us as accurate an ETA as possible, given the circumstances.

Maby they are actualy beta testing for a change..

Or fixing the games that are allready out first.
Empty optional quests in kingmaker.
A few (almost) impossible missions in the expansions..

All hell breaks loose as Monsters & Druids go toe-to-toe at Paradox Christmas party!

Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom and King Arthur: The Druids slip until January 2011 as a result. King Arthur declines to comment.
NEW YORK, 10th December 2010 – Ali versus Frazier, David versus Goliath, some of greatest battles the world has ever seen. And now, unleashed upon an unsuspecting world (and unsuspecting Paradox Interactive staff members), its Monsters versus Druids!

Picture the scene. It’s all going so well. Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom and King Arthur: The Druids were both set to release in December. “I know” said Frederik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive, “Seeing as how they’ve been so good recently, and their expansions are almost finished, let’s invite the Monsters and the Druids to the Paradox Christmas party. What could possible go wrong?” Famous last words readers.

No-one knows for sure how it started. The Druids say that one of the Monsters gave them a pitcher of ‘lemonade’ and it wasn’t until they started drinking it that they realized it wasn’t lemonade! The Monsters say one of the Druids got a bit happy and turned one of them into a frog. Or it might have been a dragon. Whoever was to blame, before you knew it the Paradox Christmas party turned in to a full on brawl. Fists and fur were flying, spells were bouncing off the walls, food and drink were being tossed in every direction. At one point, Susana Meza, Executive Vice President of Publishing, could be seen clinging to the leg of one of the Monsters trying to break up one of the fights!

After the dust had settled, five Monsters and seven Druids ended up in hospital which unfortunately means that the Majesty 2: Monster Kingdom and King Arthur: The Druids expansions have to be pushed back until January 2011. And they won’t be invited to next year’s Christmas party!

So I don't know what to make from it...
