I need some help with my Hearts of Iron Doomsday Multiplayer. First with the MP disconnect issue, I am still disconnecting even though the game is not paused. I am also having problems with setting up trade agreements in the game and any type of country to country realtions does not work. As well as i can not change the type of government polices during a game. Intelligence works fine, tech works fine, production works fine, but diplomacy does not work. I have the updated REBB version 1.2. It seems as if everytime I start this game it has a different point of crashing or a disconnect. Don't get me wrong I love this game in the single player version but as soon as you hit the multiplayer spectrum this game becomes a hole different animal. Any help with my problems would be much appreciated and I am looking forward to a new patch to fix the games various multiplayer short comings.

Well both of your problems may be caused by the main issue that effects MP games - lag.

Some more precise info would help, but you'll probably find these same questions answered numerous times in older threads.

Generally however, if you're playing on faster speeds than normal, you will notice problems. I would estimate that 95% of MP reported bugs relate to latency, so first step - slow down, especially just after loading games. The Aussie group for example, starts our games on slowest speed, then notches it up 1 level to a maximum of below normal. All this is with ADSL and anywhere between 6-10 players.

I have been playing with a maximum of 3 people on below normal speeds and every one of us has broadband. I have been able to play HoI2 with no problems. I do not understand the problem with lag since I am able to perform any other actions, producing units, moving units, and fighting when I am declared upon. I have searched the threads with as many key words as possible and this was the only one that I found that corresponded to mine.
