I'm trying to make sense of some of the asset values such as power generation on incinerator plants etc. Is there some resource or cheat sheet or math which can convert things like maintenance cost into an in game value? same for parks, there's a numerical cost in the asset editor but this doesn't seem to correspond to the value in game.

There is something very weird about these asset values. I have tried to find answers in forums and have found some disgussion but not really answers. So I started to compare the values of self-made parks in game and in the asset editor. I did this today and didn't get very far, but this is what I found out this far:

Entertainment values seem to be same in game and in editor. In game I cannot see the numerical value but I tested how the red houses turned to green when I placed a park in the middle of them. I checked how some of the build-in parks worked (for example Small Park, Botanical garden) and checed their entertainment values here: http://www.skylineswiki.com/Parks_and_Plazas . Then I tested how some self-made parks worked. And found out that the entertainment values seem to be the same in game and in the editor.

But some other values do not correspond the value in game. For example cost of the park, maintenance cost. I did some math (using several different parks) and this is what I found out:
- Park cost is higher in game. It seems to be 1,25 times higher. So if you want to have a park that costs 10 000, that is 8000 in editor.
- Maintenance cost = upkeep is lower in game. It seem to be 5 times lower. So if you want to have a park with the maintenance cost of 100, in editor that would be 500.
- Also electricity cost is different. I tested that in two different parks. And in both of them electricity was 16 times higher in game than in editor. So if you want it to be let's say 160 in game you have to write value 10 in editor.
- I suppose some other values do not correspond either but I haven't counted them yet.

So what would be good values for your park? Maybe I'll use some build-in parks as an example (see the link above for the values). I would make my parks this way:

A cheap and modest park (like the build-in "Small Park"):
- Cost 1000 (in editor: 800)
- Upkeep 8 (in editor: 40)
- entertainment accumulation: 100
- entertainment radius: 400

A basic park (like "Dog Park")
- Cost 5000 (in editor: 4000)
- Upkeep 40 (in editor: 200)
-Ent. Acc. 125
- Ent. rad. 400

Quite nice park:
- Cost: 10000 (in editor: 800)
- Upkeep: 100 (in editor: 500)
- Ent. Acc. 150
- Ent. rad. 400

A very nice park (like "Botanical Garden"):
- Cost: 15 000 (Editor: 12 000)
- Upkeep: 240 (Editor: 1200)
- Ent. Acc. 150
- Ent. rad. 500

I'm very interested to read further information about this. Do the developers of the game have answer to this inconsistency?

Thank you for the reply, I myself have food the same things.

I would like to add that even the number of tourist it attracts or visitors seems to be skewed.

I'm sure that's there's something more at work with the figures.
