Map collection threat. (Photo + location)

decided to create a post where the community can place the different maps the game offers. It can be a little boring to restart the game again and again as a lot of people want a "perfect" map to start and make the base of their dreams .

I will start.

I looked a lot for a site that was.

-> Mostly flat
-> Have all disasters. (At least the 3 dangerous one).
-> good on resources.


And that map Was 34N 114E

So this map in a lot of aspects is "easy", but on the other hand is far from it as cold waves + duststorms can make some pretty dangerous combos to your base. (On top of meteor storms).

The south is perfect for a huge base with the north being more a place to harvest resources.

The dif there was with Paradox + futurist + marsgate. So its a map with something close to +120% difficulty.


Im still looking for the map with the best terrain. (close to 100% flat) .
Also i know there is a 535% difficulty, but i will let someone else find it, take the pictures and post here .

These 3 coordinates, which are close to the Elysium markers are considered very rich in resources, relative flat and has just 1/4 in threats except meteor storms, which has 2/4.

4*N 174*E

Basically, potential first time game, if you want a relaxing playthrough.

I've started my first colony on the contest coordinates from the 12 hour Livestream.

It's pretty cold up there and you get a lot of dust storms and there's almost no water, it's also quite rough terrain.
Not an easy start, but I'm surviving okay so far with the International Mars Mission sponsor.

'Think I've found a fairly interesting one! I like to think it's one of those collapsed lava tubes you occasionally hear about when Mars colonisation comes up.

Obviously there are a few variations around that area in terms of disasters/resources, but this'n looks okay for me.

I found a beautiful spot that looks more like Arches National Park than Mars. 4/4 all resources 1/4 all threats except meteors 2/4.

That was my map for my most recent playthrough. Very fun.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for maps that are ‘mountainous’? I got 7N114W which is pretty neat. Not so concerned about the details, just the look of the terrain.
