Yo!

Tried loading up a few new games after download, yesterday - I have not been able to play through the game yet, due to a very frustrating issue.
My map loads w/ large 'unplayable' glitches, horizontal masses and blotches, that generate in every game I begin.
Map does fine when fully zoomed out, is even worse when I zoom in. All other interface/gameplay/menu runs smoothly.
Would be possible to play through a game...if I could see the map!
I'm playing on a mac, on steam ~ no mods or anything.
I am however, on the low end of requirements, is this an issue with ram or my graphics card? I tried playing in the lowest quality in settings to ease this, though it didn't help!!

Thx for any help!!

Intel video card, by any chance?

If so that's unsupported hardware for this game. If you don't have access to a machine with supported hardware, probably best to seek a refund I'm afraid.

indeed - read me like a book. I don't mean to sound silly or daft, but how new of a system is required to run the game? Not familiar with graphic card lingo ~ seems I can't install a new, updated one into my OS, if I am not mistaken?

It's nothing to do with age of the system, it's the capabilities of the video card. Intels are in almost all laptops for instance, because they save battery life. But they do that by being slower and weaker that proper GPUs from AMD or nVidia.

Many mid and high end laptops have a dual Intel/nVidia or Intel/AMD video setup, which would work. But if you have a laptop you can't add a new video card.

Let's see what you have:
DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
