Now that we have the Mod subforum i thought i move this here.
Right now i started to work on a map based on the roughly 2000 closest stars to earth. It will not be 100% accurate because of the change from a 3D map to a 2D but as close as possible.
I already have the list of all the Stars, potential names, star classification and coords converted to a xyz grid.
This may turn into a bigger Mod which i have in mind (Human Known Space with different human empires competing and later on meeting aliens. But this depends on if i can mod some things i have in mind (blocking some routes for warp is one of them).

You could even start mapping them to a readable state for the game!
Yeah with the setup in my excel file the transfer to that state would be easy. Right now i'm going trough the list and assign the best possible names to the systems (lots of googling) and clean up what i can (some new systems that were discovered since i worked last on this file... some corrected distances and spectral types...)
