as you well know, the Habsbourgs, through a combination of a shrewd marriage policy, high mortality rates and sheer luck, ammassed a fearsome Empire in the XVIth century.
does the game retains the possibility of marriages giving way to political unions, even among major powers?
examples: Spain-austria, Spain-portugal, Austria-low countries, etc.

those poor guys unable to read German amuse ourselves with these boring questions. waiting for the Second Coming... ;)

There is a a random event called Dynastical Inheritage and which have some bearing on the actual dynasties involved. However it is a rather unusual event.

The player isn't straight jacketed by history, but can instead change and create history.
