I was wondering if there are any DV-compatible mods that allow marriages to female rulers.

The option was taken out a long time ago, if memory serves me right, due to how it could make the game too easy, but it keeps messing up my rp-ing.

For instance, it seems very likely that a countess of one tiny province would gladly accept the marriage of the emperor of all Germany, etc, or at least marry someone. Not all women rulers in the middle ages were Elizabeth I. ;)

(Sorry if this is a repeat question/thread. I skimmed up to page 15 or so of the forum and didn't see anything.)

Quiet simple:
f12, type "byzantine" (minus quotes), offer marriage, once she accepts hit f12 type "byzantine" again and hit f12 again to get rid of the menu.

Right, but I realize I should have been more specific- As a male ruler, is there any mod to marry a female ruler?

No there isn't.

It never was possible either since a female who gets married will move to her husbands court, which would crash your game since she is a ruler herself and needs to stay in her own court.

You can sometimes manage to marry your heir to a female ruler, if he has no titles yet. If he then inherites you, you end up with him as a ruler in your court, and her in her own court, but any child will be heir to both.
Getting the AI to accept is pretty hard though.
And unfortunately the AI (almost?) never marries female rulers on its own :(

Well, if the madam is marshal, steward, chancellor or spymaster, she won't move to her husband's court, will she?

If you marry her away she will move to her husbands court.

If you marry her first to someone in your court and then give that male courtier a title, she will stay in your court. But if you give a male courtier a title and then marry your steward, chancellor or spymaster to him she will move to his court.

The same goes for male and female rulers. A male ruler can't marry a female ruler, but a male ruler can be married to a female ruler. As long as the female is made a ruler after the marriage.
