Hey Angelus, I passed on the recording to our Audio Production team to see if they can place the crackling. It's a very odd crackle to say the least.

One thing I see that DireDave hasn't mentioned is the potential of a mismatch in Sample Rates. The game expects/works with 48kHz (or a multiple of it) and in cases where that isn't a possibility FMOD should auto adapt. Do you have any software that controls your Audio?

Thanks!
Looking at DxDiag file, it seems that GalaxyCommunication.exe is crashing.
I passed DxDiag and logs to our Galaxy dev team. We’ll investigate

Please keep in mind that Galaxy is not required to play the game. Having AoW 4 installed, you can launch it directly from the game.exe without Galaxy running in the background.
So you can try that to see if the crashes reduce
