Max number of Domes?

I want my colonists to be happy and started a subdivision with about a dozen micro domes that have comfort homes and lakes. Suddenly a message said that I can’t built more domes because I have reached the maximum number. How do you know what the maximum is? I can’t find the slightest hint, and I haven’t even built a medium done yet.
Anyone ran into this?

Hi Barb_Redgreen,

I have never hit this issue, and I've built some pretty big colonies.

You say you have about a dozen domes. Do you have an exact number? I'm pretty sure I've built colonies with 14 or 15 domes without ever seeing this message.

Also, do you have any mods installed?

The dome limit is only on console, IIRC it's 12 domes, but I play it on PC so I don't know for sure. I imagine you can destroy old small domes and build new bigger ones.

The cap is 20 for consoles, you can work around it by placing dome construction sites and turning them off.
