may11 beta not extracting???

How is exactly can i tell if the may11 beta extracted correctly or why it isn't extracting.

For example: the land connection between Jylland and Sjaelland
is not supposed to be there in this new beta patch, but when i extract the files and go to start a game, the land connection is still there. I can still move troops across.

Is this simply a bug that needs to be fixed or was it put back in?

Also i started a game with england to quickly check the effects of raising war taxes. It should now be that inflation goes up 1% and stability remains the same, but inflation staying the same and stability dropping.

I have done a fresh install, installed the full 1.07 patch, and have extracted the may11beta patch files to the EU2 directory and still nothing.

Did you overwrite the files?
When you load the game it should tell you in the upper left corner, what the version number is. It should say May11.

what happened was that when i clicked on the folder to extract the files it creates its own path. it created another may11beta folder in the eu2 directory. so what i did was click on the folder again and just deleted the path to the may11beta

it extracted to:

strategyfirst/eu2/may11beta instead of just strategyfirst/eu2

its working fine now and yes, it does say the may11 beta version in the upper left corner
