Could you take a screenshot of your export window settings and also copy-paste the contents of your clausewitz.txt file found in Documents\Paradox Interactive\PdxExporter\settings?

Also check so that the shader is properly assigned to the mesh and that there isn't any other pdx_exporter.mll in the plug-in manager that you can load.

If the mesh totally explodes and stretches totally across the screen, it can be that you have animations without the proper state scripted to the entity. If you have selected to create a .gfx and .asset file for your model it will create the enitty and mesh files, however it will not create states for the animations.
