Hi,

I wanna play a modern scenario so badly. I've installed both MDS and TNW and they both crashes after playing a few days (in game-days that is).

Since this has happened several times and with both modifications it cant be considences.

What is the solution?

By the way, I've got Doomsday patch 1.2

First of all, welcome to the forum!
I know for a fact that MDS is no where near a finished product, in fact it's only released as first beta. I can't really speak for TNW since I know nothing of it. These mods contain extenstive modifications so it's really hard to say what went wrong in your case. Did you install ontop of a fresh installation of HOI2/DD?

1. Did you install TNW into the same directory as MDS?
2. Did you use no time limit for exe-file?

For MDS you have to load the game, save the game, exit the game and load the game (first time only).

OMG thank you. I cannot tell you how grateful I am. I have not been able to play MDS all this time because of the delayed-startup crash.

PS: for a lag-free MDS experience replace the MDS db/misc.txt file with the original DD file.

Hey! :)

Thank you all. Banzored! and mib, i follow your advices and now everything works perfectly.

And it's a darn nice scenario. Though it aint finished just the thing that it's contemporary makes it twice as fun as the original version.

Once again; thank you!

are you saying that you must start a new game, save it, then exit, then reload the game and it corrects the crashing problem of MDS Beta???

usually...that's what I did for my Us game, loaded Mar 23, saved, exited, reloaded, and played on w/ auto save each month. The uber issues w/ MDS2 are, again, AI doesn't make any units, and lag where it literaly can take entire days on fastest setting to play through a year in game. Everything else, in my opinion, is easily fixable w/ some trial/error modding

The good old days of MDS... invade mainland China ASAP, event-move capital to Nanjing, start churning out mecs before CHC can respond... Oh and WC as Singapore.

Yes.
