Thanks in advance for any answers.

OK, I understand that the .ai files let us define a number of variables shaping the AI style of play and the 'TAG_GC_HISTDESC', 'TAG_GC_VPTACTIC', 'TAG_GC_MISSDESC' and 'TAG_GC_MISSTACT' (TAG = tag of relevant major) refer to text in the Test.CSV. the 'num' settings refer to what is displayed on the scenario selection screen.

My questions are on the following and what impact they have on the game whether playing a normal major of setting up the scenario with different major powers and trying to set parameters correctly:

countrydifficulty = 7
countryeconomy = 6
countrymilitary = 7
countrydiplomacy = 6
--> are this and those above in the eug file just to display on the scenario info screen, or do they have an effect in the game?

missiontype = 1 <-- What missiontypes exist and what are they skewed toward? Personally, missions seem like a nice alternative to wanton aggression, but many of them are territorial. Are there any 'convert the heretic' missiontypes, for example? Missiontype, missionarea, missionname etc. also appear in the save games for each country. Can we set a geographic focus of missions for scenarios?

Also, settings in the save file:

colonialnation = yes/no
--> 'no' did not stop me from getting 1 colonist per year with Protestantism. What does this do?

dynamism = 0 to 2, changes over time What does this do?

beuraucracy = 1.0 for everyone--meaning?

missiontype = 1 <--again, a mystery, along with missionarea, missionnames etc.

Also, is there any way of adjusting (a) the number of diplomats per year and (b) revenues? In this instance I am trying to figure out how to modify the Papal States.

Thanks

Mike
