Mech Designer - would it be needed?

I wonder - it there community need for an offline mech designer application for Battletech?

Well, I would certainly appreciate it. Especially if it could be made modular and so be used with mod mechs/equipment as well.

Editing ChassisDefs and MechDefs by hand is kind of tedious, especially when you're straying far from existing designs. And it's easy to make mistakes, too. (I'm looking at you, Missing Comma!)

Seriously, I can't be the only one who would love that.

Can it be used to save it to a .json file the game can read? I don't see such an option.

Otherwise it's pretty cool, didn't know about it yet.
