Could someone explain to me how to grant the New Gift to the Nightswatch? I used to see it happen pretty frequently within the first fifty years of the game but in 1.0 I don't know that I've seen it happen at all, having played 3 or 4 games for 100~200 years. I tried poking around in the nightswatch event files but didn't see it there. Not necessarily a pressing concern, just curious how it works.

Not one that I've ever experienced. I've never even gotten a notification for it being ceded; I'll simply check up there after a while and it's been given away. Though I still haven't had it happen since I made this post.

Maybe the event/decision is triggered by someone else? Like the lord paramount of the North or even the person holding the lands of the new gift? The stuff related to the Night's Watch is generally pretty solid (From what I can see, at least) but it's completely possible that the 1.0 update broke the event without anyone noticing...

I'm gonna play a game in observer to see if it happens (I very rarely play a bookmark where the New Gift isn't already under the Night's Watch control so i can;t be sure right now...). I'll be back in a few hours

EDIT : Bloody hell my english's broken today; Took me half an hour to locate all the errors in a three sentence post...
