Hi
this is a list of European medieval towns preserved to our times, so plenty of pictures can be found on the internet (although some companies are stretching to claims it's their pictures and there are no rights to use them but money).
The idea is to collect as many as possible to give a choice and resources to those fantastic creators publishing on the Workshop (unless they need something completely different, well beside incentives
)
As with regards to medieval times, there is a complete lack of "industries" on the workshop - they were little workshops placed in the same buildings as craftsmen house and shop - all combined in one building, therefore another idea is to create little houses with rico settings, where mixed usage is present and because they weren't huge factories, those workshops, pollution wouldn't be huge either but yes, it would be affecting citizens - that's why workshops had some designed places/districts.
So here it is, picturesque examples of medieval Europe (I will try to get them from all over the Europe):
0. example of mixed use building (illustration only)
Here instead armourer, there could bakery, workshop, or any other craftsman workplace.
1. Rothenburg
2. Carcassonne
3. Nördlingen
4. Troyes (Lost Gecko's favourite it seems but still full of untouched resources)
5. Chester (an artist's impression of medieval town of Chester)
6. Montelimar
7. Colmar
8. Avila (an aerial view at the moment)
9. Saint-Emilion
10. Česká Lípa (it's more Renainssance town and later)
11. České Budějovice
12. Eguishem
13. Ghent
14. Honfleur
15. Český Krumlov
16. Lubeck
17. Lucignano
