This may be more technical in nature, then game related but here goes.

I play HoI on a pretty old mac, its above the system requirements for the precessor, but memory is a bit spare. I have a new internal HD and I copied all my HoI files onto that so that the game would "play off" that disk with its 101GB of space, as opposed to the old disk with only 1GB of free space left.

Now I am noticing that when there is a lot happening in the game (like many attacks going on at once) that the old disk starts to loose memory, and when I eventually quot HoI, it says I have zero KB of free space! But I hoped to avoid that by putting every HoI file in the new HD, which does not seem to be affected.

I am sorry if there is a more tech related forum for this question, but this is really quite a hassal and I am not sure what to do.

Are you in OS X and running the latest patch? If that's the case, welcome to the most annoying bug in 1.06. Hearts Of Iron apparently starts aquiring masses of virtual memory (which is from your boot hardrive) to the point where it crashes. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next patch. Until then, use autosave so nothing to much is lost!
