Could do next in line instead of the minor. If no one but the minor, could lose, or do a regent event untill the kid is of age..

Historically this was not all that uncommon a situation and, depending on the laws of the realm, the rule might be held by a regency, the dead king's spouse (if living) or might pass to the strongest living child or even most powerful relative. :)

Of course this is a game, not a simulation... ;)

Until, of course, the heir reaches his majority. Meanwhile the realm can be in a period of unstability in which "Wicked Uncles" may make their bid for the throne. I'm hoping this will be represented somehow.

Reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics with the "Lion War". In the game, a war was fought over who would gain regency over the infant king. Heh, its a game I know, but I do think that this type of conflict existed - or, at least, was probable.
Sidenote - Its a great game, I highly suggest it.

Regency ?

Imagine the dynasty you control just lost its ruler. His heir is too young to rule (say he is 2 years old and can't even play pokémons), and thus a regent is designed to rule the demense during the heir's childhood.
This case happened quite often during the middle-ages.

How will CK handle this ? Will you control the regent ? Even if he is from another dynasty ? Or will CK be in hands-off mode ?
