Maybe it would be a great idea to have a meteor airburst in the game but only as a rare event. I don't know if it should be predetermined or not. Probably random but there are numerous examples of airbursts that happen in history. Even if not leading to casualties, they could impact stability ("mandate of heaven" for instance etc) or affect something.

It is rare, most examples of airbursts are outside the timeframe, there's also the Pultusk air burst or some ancient ones that people believe happened in the Fertile Crescent a long time ago in studies.

The 2 most famous ones that happened inside EU5s timeframe are
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensisheim_meteorite (Ensisheim Meteorite, Alsace, 1477)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qingyang_event (Qingyang event, 1490, Ming China - also recorded in "The History of Ming")

There would be a lot of undocumented ones also, but some may have happened over the ocean or in undeveloped land. Or areas without a written record.

Sacrifice a human heart to appeace the comet!
From all of the genocide threads stated, I'm not sure if there are all that many human hearts to be found here.

It's just one more excuse for a randomizing element, where it could reduce the population of a province by some small percentage, possibly randomly increasing or decreasing the religious fervor of the population (either they're convince that they're being punished for some impropriety and need to repent, or else they get angry at the gods for causing death and misery).
