I have a saved game that keeps crashing at the same point. The only log file that is timestamped with the crash time is one called 'random.log', and all it contains is this (I'm starting from a saved game date of 1258.6.1):

[gamestatecommands.cpp:27]: CSetHistoryDate::Execute(): 1066.9.15 -> 1066.9.15
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.2
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.3
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.4
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.5
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.6
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.7
[gamestate.cpp:1286]: Daily tick on 1258.6.8

Every time I load this save I seem to get some kind of event choice for my character. The crash occurs after selecting one of the options and I never get to June 9th. Is there a way to determine what might be causing the crash?

EDIT: I don't know if this has any significance. It's timestamped a minute before the previous file and is 'error.log':

[texturehandler.cpp:169]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//test//menu_tiles_1.tga.

If you have the current version and checksum showing on the main game menu, all I can suggest is posting the problem save game in Bug Reports.

I don't think I would have the same checksum as this game includes a few mods loaded. That's why I was hoping there was some kind of log or troubleshooting tool to be able to tell exactly what is happening at the time of the crash.

There is no tool of that nature, there are of course error logs in the CK2 /logs/ directory which I assume you've looked at. That aside you'll need to post in User Mods asking for advice from the experienced modders there, as the crash is almost certainly due to some change you've made.
