I play HOI2 for years and only now realized, that all naval distances on the map are wrong. Or the wrong unit is signed.

All distances signed as "km", but in fact their measured in naval miles.
I.e. the game show range = 1000km, but the real Earth range = 1850km or 1000naval miles.

As I understand, all speed values for ship are get from naval handbooks and measured in knots (miles/hour)

The question - what variant is true?

a) The bug is only in designation, i.e. wrote "km" instead of "miles". And game engine calculate time of arrival of any ship correctly.
b) Game engine calculate time of arrival incorrectly, because it operates by wrong distance values.

PS: feel free to correct my English.
