missing countries

it seems to me that many countries are still not playable. i did the columbus cheat just to see where everything was. there's no brunei or mallaca. am i missing somrthing because they are on the map and aren't in the scroll. maya aren't playable in the 1419 scen. either and are on the map too. is this a bug or what.

For some reason several countries (Like Bavaria, or Maya) were left out of the scenario file as beng "playable" countries.

In order to make them playable find out the TAG for the country (BAY = Bavaria, MAA = Maya, for example). Open the scenario file in a text editor (the grand campaign.eug, for example) and right at the beginning is the list of playable countries.

Add the TAG for the country you want to play to the list, save the scenario file, and enjoy!

Not off the top of my head.

Just go browsing through some of the files in your EU2 directory and subfolders and you can find out what the other TAGs are.

One caveat: if you modify the original "the grand campaign.eug" file you won't be able to patch to 1.02 when it comes out. Either save the file under a new name, or you'll have to re-install EU2.

Some of those missing nations have problems when entered manually in the scen file. Reports of weird behaviour, so play at your own risk until patched.
