Hello everybody,

I apologize in advance if this is a known and fixed issue but a google and forum search didn't yield any results.

Using the Dec 29 FtG Beta 1.3 and the AGCEEP 1.59b4 Hotfix for 1.3 beta the Hindu (and Buddhist) religion localization strings are apparently missing. In the following image I started a new AGCEEP game as Vijayanagar in the 1419 Grand Campaign bookmark, paused right away and went to the missionary map mode:

You can see the state and province religion by the mouse cursor are wonky as is the religion string in the panel to the left. This is again apparent going to the state religion screen, (as well as a truncated list of tolerance level sliders compared to an earlier version of AGCEEP):

This also happens when mousing over Buddhist provinces:

I tried searching through the main game v1.3 beta and AGCEEP mod files looking for "RELIGION_hinduism" and other "hindu" strings but couldn't find anything that looked relevant enough to fix myself. Anybody have any ideas of what I need to look for to fix this and/or which files to examine?

EDIT: Apparently affects other religions as well, at least Confucianism. Incidentally, Shinto seems to work fine.

(Note that this issue is not present in the previous version of AGCEEP (the one that ships with the Steam version of FtG) and is not present in the vanilla non-mod 1.3 beta.)

Yes, that problem is known for quite a while
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/agceep-bug-list.444459/page-8#post-15755698

The last version of AGCEEP 1.59b4 is compatible only to FtG 1.2

While the 1.3 patch for FtG fixes many bugs and improves a lot of things it broke a lot of mods because many variables were renamed (e.g. "hindu" instead of "hinduism") and AGCEEP has not yet been updated to work with the different names of those variables in FtG 1.3

So either you use FtG 1.3 and try to fix the problem yourself using one of the two possible fixes that are explained in the bugs thread,
or you use AGCEEP 1.59b4 with FtG 1.2.

Using FtG 1.2 means several other mods from the modding forum run without problems too.

OK, thanks a lot for your help. I've used your global_flags.txt file in your linked post and the religions.csv from VictorVVV linked here (also linked in your aforementioned post) and the eastern religions seem to display fine. Just testing a bit more, a 1520 game as Austria shows RELIGION_heretic for one of the tolerance sliders but I was able to fix it myself by adding the uninspired line "RELIGION_HERETIC;Heretic;x" to religions.csv file so we'll see how that goes. At least now I know where to look should anything else crop up.

Thanks again!
