When I try to launch the game, the launcher loads correctly, but pressing play brings me to a loading screen which never progresses.
Troubleshooting steps attempted
-Changing to windowed mode
-Updating drivers
-Executing stellaris.exe as admin
-Deleting the paradox interactive folder
-Deleting the paradox interactive folder and then reinstalling Stellaris
-Restarting my computer
-Switching to the 3.4.2 rollback
-Verifying game files through steam

Every log file that isn't empty should be attached.

Has the game ever worked properly on this machine? Or never yet?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

The game worked properly on the machine as of October 2021, but I have not played Stellaris since then, so I don't know exactly when it stopped working.

Have you undone this? Doing that causes problems of its own.
I am fairly certain Stellaris is no longer being run as admin.
Updating the AMD driver failed to fix the issue, and didn't make any significant difference in the error logs that I could see, though they did change slightly.

Sorry, I missed you have a mixed AMD/nVidia setup! Very unusual.

The game is of course trying to run on the nVidia. In the nVidia control panel, Manage 3D settings, force stellaris.exe onto the AMD option there (just as a test of course). Does that change things?

Forcing Stellaris to run on integrated graphics seems to have fixed the problem. When I launched Stellaris with integrated graphics it loaded correctly, and it still loads after switching it back to running on the nVidia card.

Wow, that's unexpected! My best guess is an issue with the nVidia driver or card selection utility.

Glad we got there!
