About one third of the way through instillation i recieve an error that says that i am missing a support file and that there is a data error (cyclic redundancy check). I was wondering if anyone knew the fix to this very annoying problem.

This is usually the result of one of Four things.
1.You had a virus that left corrupted some system files, even if the Virus has been wiped out. - Solution reinstall windows or atleast attempt repair install.
2. The CD Drive is not reading the disk properly. - Solutions would be if you have another Drive try it. Or install on friends machine and copy back over.
3. The CD is dirty or dammaged. Solution clean the CD with glass cleaner and soft cloth. If dammaged replace CD.
4. Installshield error such as http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q110609
If you give me the exact error I could track it down easier.
