I want to create a mod that kicks off after the 1st Punic War ends in 241 BCE and feeds into the 2nd Punic War. However this is a massive project and I am 1) very new to modding and 2) very short on time. I'd like to recruit some volunteers to at least help with research on map placement etc. esp for outside the Western Mediterranean. This is very new to me.
I've managed to create the Barcid family as of 241 BCE, assign Sicily to Rome as outright owns and feudatories, and change a few things in Iberia.
Basically I'd like to get get enough to simulate the events from 241-218 BC and then turn the players loose with all sorts of options.
Goals:
1) create a map that's faithful to 241 BCE everywhere
2) Create a mission/event tree that reflects the Mercenary War
3) Create an event tree that represents the periodic payments Carthage owed Rome
4) Create a mission/event that simulates the Roman annexation of Corsica/Sicily and offers Carthage a timestamped chance to re-initiate the war as a roleplaying element;
5) Create a Barcid quest that simulates their conquest of Iberia and culminates in the option to either be a loyal feudatory to Carthage or go independent (and a similar mission tree in Carthage that allows the backing or rejecting of the Barcids when Rome goes aggro)
6) as stretch goals, conditioned 2nd PW events.
I'd appreciate any interest or help with this as again I don't know a ton and I'm new. It may take a while, but I can keep plugging away.
The goals of this mod are to make a fun Western Mediterranean that could introduce a third power to balance Carthage/Rome and to make characters REALLY relevant.

0.0.1 Notes
-Finished the map! Updating the Diadochi was obnoxious but finally done. Added in Galatia w/custom culture and Pergamon. In Italy, added Capua as a feudatory.
-Created a new subject type to reflect governorships like the Barcids and later Caesar.
Goals for next update:
1. Edit characters in the major nations
2. Get a working mission setup for the Barcids
