I'm trying to create a Mod. I have most of the ground work and just need it to be pretty now. I'm trying to get a custom picture to appear when the event fires, but it's not working.

I have the .dds file saved in:
Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\Mod NameI\gfx\event_pictures

But no matter what I do the mod won't appear as is. I've even replaced the picture with an existing Event DDS file and it did work, but I don't want to substitute my picture for another. Is there a step after saving the file in the event_pictures folder?

You need to add an entry in interface folder in a .gfx file.
You can find examples of the syntaxt at the end of eventwindow.gfx file. You can either add it to that file or create a new one with just your stuff.
