The Expanded Habitability Mod on Steam.

This, my first released mod, greatly eases the difficulty of colonizing new worlds outside your original homeworld type.

In general:
Habitability of Tertiary planet types raised from 20% to 40%

Continental planet preference now considers EVERY one of the standard five to be Secondary habitability.
All planets now consider Continental to be of Secondary habitability.

Desert and Arid now consider one another to be Primary habitability
Ocean and Tropical now consider one another to be Primary Habitability
Arctic and Tundra now consider one another to be Primary habitability

All other planets are now Tertiary, rather than some planets which were not considered to be cognizable at all.

Exhaustively:
For Desert Preference races,
Desert and Arid planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Tropical planets are 60% Habitable;
Ocean, Arctic and Tundra planets are 40% Habitable

For Tropical Preference races,
Tropical and Ocean planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Desert planets are 60% Habitable;
Arid, Arctic and Tundra planets are 40% Habitable

For Continental Preference races,
Continental planets are 80% Habitable;
Desert, Arid, Tropical, Ocean, Arctic, and Tundra planets are 60% Habitable

For Ocean Preference races,
Ocean and Tropical planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Arctic planets are 60% Habitable;
Desert, Arid and Tundra planets are 40% Habitable

For Arctic Preference races,
Arctic and Tundra planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Ocean planets are 60% Habitable;
Desert, Tropical and Arid planets are 40% Habitable

For Tundra Preference races,
Tundra and Arctic planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Arid planets are 60% Habitable;
Desert, Tropical and Ocean planets are 40% Habitable

For Arid preference races,
Arid and Desert planets are 80% Habitable;
Continental and Tundra planets are 60% Habitable;
Tropical, Ocean and Arctic planets are 40% Habitable

This would give continental species too much of an advantage.
