Version 1.4.2 is uploaded, now with career mode tweaks!


This is an "intermediate to advanced user" Modtek mod that contains a few stripped down JSONS files that allow you to adjust various starting conditions in your campaign that are not otherwise adjustable in-game.

This is not a simple "plug and play" mod - you must open and edit the files, or you'll end up with stuff added and removed that you might not want!

I've tried to make editing as easy as possible by adding and removing entries, or commenting out using comment brackets: /* */.

When editing, check your commas and brackets or Battletech may throw an error.

The following actions are available via file edits. Each file contains commented instructions on how to use each section. I now have included a method to add mechwarriors and pilot tags to your commander for career mode! Credit goes to @MechGhost for coming up with a workable Solution. To do this, the Argo barracks pod has been removed, and you need to buy it back as soon as you start the career, at which point it will trigger the hiring spree.

SimGameConstants:
- Change campaign starting cash
- Change campaign starting mech lance

- Change career mode starting lance and argo mechbay upgrades
- Change career mode game length in days

- Add career mode pilot quirks to your commander mechwarrior (useful if using Pilot Quirks Mod so your commander isn't just a boring lame duck)
- Add career mode pilot origin tags to commander mechwarrior (doesn't do anything currently)
- Add or subtract points from commander mechwarrior skills

- Hire new career mode Ronin/Kickstarter mechwarriors

milestone_114_sim_leopard_start:
Takes effect immediately after Majesty Metals
- Change commander ancestry tags (dialogue options)
- Add pilot quirks to your commander mechwarrior (useful if using Pilot Quirks Mod so your commander isn't just a boring lame duck)
- Add pilot origin tags to commander mechwarrior (doesn't do anything currently)
- Add or subtract points from commander mechwarrior skills
- Change starting mechbay inventory items (ammo, weapons, heatsinks, jumpjets, upgrades)
- Fire existing campaign mode mechwarriors
- Hire new Ronin/Kickstarter mechwarriors

milestone_203_sim_leopard_start:
Takes effect immediately after clearing debt and periphery traveling restrictions
- Enable Flashpoints to show up during the campaign instead of after completion
- Also open maptravel 3 to completely remove House travel restrictions

milestone_202_notify_centurion:
- Change mech(s) received after recovering Argo (default Centurion)

milestone_423_notify_highlander:
- Change mech(s) received after completing escape from Castle Nautilius (default SLDF Highlander)

milestone_653_notify_atlas:
- Change mech(s) received on campaign completion (default SLDF Atlas II)
