Greetings everyone!
Now, as most of the members of our small but active community (the Rome modding community, that is), may know, I am working on a mod for Rome which has hit some rather tough obstacles. As far as I can tell, the map is clean of all graphical errors, all nations that are used do have the appropriate files, all language elements have been localized, and I am really at my wits' end.

However, many hours of modding have already gone into this, especially into the map itself to make it a faithful representation of its model, the world of the RPG series "Suikoden". I am quite confident, however, that a skilled and more experienced modder might be able to find and fix the problem much more easily than I could ever hope to.

I therefore would like to ask whether anyone would be willing to test the mod (found at http://www.hanmun.de/Suikoden.zip) and give me some feedback on what they checked and if any errors could be found.

Any help, even just proofreading one bloody file will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Don't have the time to try it out, but if you could tell us something more we might be able to narrow it down.

What files have you modded since it last worked?
Exactly when does it crash?
Are there anything wierd in the log files?

Since you only have 26 land provinces, you have to remove all mentions of provinces with numbers above 26 in the vanilla files. That means you have to replace the history, decisions and event folders with empty folders in your mod directory. Add the following code to your MOD file:

Code:
replace = "decisions"
replace = "events"
replace = "history"

You also need to add an empty version of triggered_modifiers.txt to your common folder, as well as a version of on_actions.txt where you have removed all event numbers.

Whoops, sorry forthat, guess I was a tad furious when I last got to meddle with the localization files, and then forgot about it. Also, thanks, Descartes, I will try that. If this works, you shall be elevated to my personal Pantheon.
