This mod enables further bookmarks in the game and also highly modifies the map, character, and title history to create a far more detailed map for the entire playable area from Iberia all the way to Mongolia. While this mod looks rather large it is actually quite compatible with many other mods outside mods that majorly alter the game like Sinews of War or total conversions.

*Disclaimer*

This mod will be hard on weaker PC's. You can use Population Control to help reduce lag especially late game. Anyone interested in making a no Asia version of my mod has my full permission to do so. A base for that can be found here.

Version of mod for those that want to play multiplayer

Features

- Around 300 more baronies and a very modified county, duchy, and kingdom setup for a somewhat more accurate setup for the bookmarks. Extension of the map into East Asia thanks to Rajas of Asia. If you want an even more detailed map get MBE-MBPlus

- Hundreds of new CoA's for titles ranging from baronies all the way empires with England and the Levant changing based on who holds the title.

- Completed history for every bookmark so no missing or incorrect rulers for large parts of the map like in other bookmark mods and even tributaries courtesy of the T4N teams Tributary Framework

- Historical Holy Orders spawned in later bookmarks in their respective regions with the Teutonic State and Hospitaller Rhodes being playable

- Over 22 new bookmarks ranging from 769 to 1337. The most work has gone into bookmarks 1166 and later.

- New decisions for some of these bookmarks such as restoring the Byzantine Empire after 1204.

- Many new cultures and religions

- New decisions for various bookmarks and cultures

- Partial integration of some other larger mods like Rajas of Asia, Africa Plus and Muslim Enhancements cultures and religions to ensure their full compatibility

- Full integration of Tenets to Doctrines, Cities of Wonders 3, Silk Road and Religious/Cultural Minorities

Compatibility

I do my best to limit compatibility issues but due to the files this mod changes the mod will be incompatible with anything that modifies the map itself or history files. Mods that add cultures are compatible with this mod though they won't be on the map unless they are added the same way RICE or Africa Plus add cultures.

As this mod is a total conversion you should always load it after most mods unless that mods page says otherwise or is a compatch. Load UnifiedUI before this mod but after other mods that it works for.

I will generally only compatch mods larger than my own that I also use and usually will not make compatches for mods smaller than my own or mods that share too many of the same files.

If the mod is fully integrated then you don't need to sub to it

If you use any mods that make use of Unified UI then make sure to subscribe to it and load it before this mod.

This mods file size is large due to over 4 thousand new CoA files and the vanilla games map being overwritten.

What is the load order?
A working load order for many of the major mods that can be used with this mod. Load orders are extremely important to follow.

Other mods - Follow any load orders they mention
Other Expanded Series Mods
Muslim Enhancements - If used (Do NOT use its EPE compatch)
Africa Plus - If used (Do NOT use its EPE compatch)
RICE - If used
CFP - If used
Ethnicities and Portraits Expanded
Unit Packs Expanded
CFP + EPE Compatibility Patch - If used
The Catholic Trinity
Culture Expanded
RICE+EPE
Other mods that use Unified UI
Unified UI (If you use other mods that use Unified UI)
More Bookmarks+ - (Never load regular mods below my mod unless that author or I specifically say so)
CE + MB
EPE/CFP/MB (You MUST use Culture Expanded if you use EPE)
CFP + NB (->ONLY<- if you don't use EPE)

MB + Catholic Trinity
Any other compatches for my mod

Compatibility Patches - Load these AFTER both mods.

Dynamic Trade Routes - This is a basic compatch for DTR that works solely with More Bookmarks. Anything else that doesn't work with DTR is still not going to work even with this compatch.

Seems it is not compatible with version 1.0.3.

Hey I love this mod.

Are you planning to make more start dates? I'd kill for Charlemagne even if it's missing the events. The one for the mongols would be huge too!

The main limiter with adding more is the UI but I modified the GUI and was able to enter another bookmark to add the Charlemagne start. It loads but I do see a lot of history file issues that will need cleaned up. I've updated it into Steam.

Very very cool!

At this rate you might as well just add them in at your leisure. It seems you're really good at this. Kinda makes me sad paradox didn't bother.

I wonder how different events are in script between ck2 and ck3. I might have a look at what it takes to port them over. If my memory is correct a lot of minor ck3 events are lifted from ck2. Hopefully it's not too hard to eventually add in the story events and the missing invaders.

You're not gonna run out of start date selection button space are ya? Hopefully it wont take too much gui modding to get an arbitrary number of start dates in, at least most of the ck2 ones. It would be a lame to have to do but sacrificing the repeating vanilla start dates might squeeze out more room.

Keep up the excellent work :)

I honestly don't have anymore room and I have no idea how to modify the GUI to do more rows.

Did a larger update to fix up some bugs and also started a partial revamp of the map based on SWMH's CK2 map (90% of the time the counties are exactly the same as SWMH except in areas that CK3 went into greater detail with such as Africa) which at least can hold me over till we get the CK3 version of SWMH that will go into far greater detail. No baronies have been added (yet) but it does create a more sensible setup with counties, duchies, and kingdoms. The downside to this is that there are many counties that may only have 2 baronies at the moment but since CK3 does not allow a barony to have a different liege than the county the baronies are mostly just map fluff so counties need to be used to create proper borders.

Current progress

Iberia - Done
Maghreb - Done
Egypt - Done
East Africa - Done
Arabian Peninsula - Done
Mesopotamia - Done
Persia/Daylam/Khorezm/Afghanistan - Done
Tarim Basin Region - Done
Georgia/Armenia/Shirvan/Alania/Khazaria/Zaporizhia - Done
Jerusalem - Done - This area needs a heavy re-work to be properly detailed. Almost every barony should be its own county.
Syria/Antioch - Done
Cyprus - Done -
Cilicia - Done
Anatolia - Done

Areas I won't look at:

Sahara and Sub Sahara Africa - This area is already incredibly detailed. Actually it's far more detailed than it should be given it's unimportance outside Mali. It's more annoying when far far more important areas like Anatolia have less counties than Africa especially when there were counties even in vailla CK2 Anatolia that did not get ported to CK3

Tibet - Like sub Sahara Africa this region is already far more detailed than it should be

Mongolia - Same as above

Next is doing the actual hard part which is the rest of Europe. I'm also open to any suggestions or recommendations.

What shape is in the 936 scenario in?

It should be playable but I haven't exactly focused on changing anything in it yet so it may have some empty titles.
I'm curious how it compares to the CK II version, because CK III uses a much older database and so I'm pretty sure those changes aren't in this game. Did you just use 867 as a base and do all the work yourself?

I literally just enabled the bookmarks due to CK3 having the history data already there. Issues with missing titles tends to just be areas where they didn't port that title to CK3 or where they added a lot of new counties. My first main goal was to make the county setup match CK2 HIP then make sure counties had at least 3 baronies (too many baronies looks awful on the map). Now that I'm done with that what I'm doing next is porting over the history files from HIP in CK2. I've already completely converted the character files and dynasties to work with CK3 and have added a few of the cultures already. From there I'm focusing on the 1066 start to port over history area by area and fixing up any issues that pop up such as where titles are named differently. After that I'll jump to the next bookmark. My main goal personally was to make the map more detailed in areas that should have been more detailed in Europe without sacrificing the areas that were less detailed in CK2 HIP either due to anachronism or due to no one that worked on that mod being interested in that area.

After many hours of work I have now finished updating the entire maps titles history and so bookmarks like 936 are now fully filled in. For areas like Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa this was all thanks to the character and title data from HIP for CK2 which I ported over to CK3. Areas outside what HIP covered I based on what I had from my HIP submod Expanded Map Edit.

Bookmark wise the next one I'm going to add will be ~1185 as that's been an often requested bookmark.

@mechl I appreciate your mod but I haven't played the game for a month or so. Since I am interested only in 1081 bookmark I'd be grateful if you could relate the current status of it. I remember last time I tried to play there were some problems, particularly there was a missing barony somewhere close to Nicaea, Sultan of Rum had an Orthodox vassal in Bulgaria and some Turkish emir near Trapezunt was vassalized to Seljiuk Empire instead of Rum. Are these issues solved now?

Overall every bookmark is fully implemented and mostly bug free at this time.

Besides that I've also now added bookmarks for 1185 and 1204 and now use the new bookmark UI Paradox made.

Awesome!

I hoped someone would come with this mod adding more bookmarks. Great job!

As for your map (de jure) changes in the Sahara I would have a small note, if you won't mind:
You splitted the kingdom of Anbiya into Mauritania and Anbiya moving Anbiya to the area of Touat. The problem is that Anbiya is historically exactly the territory of your Mauritania kingdom. Anbiya is the name of the Sanhaja berber state before formation of Almoravids.

If your goal is to exclude Touat from Anbiya/Mauritania, which is understandable, I think it's far better to make it the duchy of Touat part of the kingdom of Sahara. Doing that will also avoid another inaccuracy you are introducing by splitting Mzab area from the kingdom of Tahert.

Hi @mechl ! Love your mod. The added granularity and playthrough diversity is dope.

Unfortunately, I also love the Community Flavor Pack , and we can't run yours and this mod without running into some compatibility issues, such as Swedes sporting African clothes and titles...

The issue probably lies in that you added cultures VS the vanilla set-up on which the CFP is based on.

How could one make a compatch? I have near no experience in modding, but it should be a matter of tweaking .txt files to map out your new cultures in the CFP, no?
