Mod Proposal: Planetary Expansion With Scout Ships

Hello everyone.

I'm The Noble Poro and I'm going to do a (somewhat) ambitious mod project, which you can learn more about in the attached PDF. To summarise it, the mod aims to add Scouting Planets as a feature accessed through Scout Ships, which will:

1. Expand the planet's size by finding suitable regions to occupy.
2. Improve regions by throughly searching the area for extra resources.

Through this, players who wish to build tall empires will be given more tools to do so. Stellaris is probably my favourite game at the moment, and while I am not actually a modder myself, I do know my way around a program and do enjoy a challenge, and see this as the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and hopefully improve the game experience for players.

I will try my best to keep you updated with progress as I work through this task. Hopefully the end result will be something that you will enjoy.
