[Mod] Radical Space Foxes

Shadow's Radical Space Foxes on Steam.


I made this mod because I was sick and tired of staring at "Outdated Mod Selected" when using artifix's Space Fox Dimorphism mod, since artifix has apparently abandoned it. (It's a purely-compatible graphics mod, all he'd have to do is change 1.0.* to 1.* in the .mod file and it would stop saying it's incompatible.) So... I made this little gem.

Instead of giving the men muzzle stripes, which I feel would have been inappropriately similar/the same as artifix's mod, I opted instead to give the space fox women dye-jobs; some of them subtle, some of them not remotely subtle.


And yes, I know; I am not a terribly good artist. If anyone who is a good artist wishes to volunteer to make this better, I will be more than happy to handle what coding needs to be done.

Also: yes, I know that in some colors of space fox, you can clearly see the ugly, blocky back of the space fox's jaw. This is not my fault, it's a problem with Paradox's original art, and is beyond my limited skill to fix. Just try to ignore it.

Unfortunately, that's far beyond my artistic ability to implement, let alone in any manner half-way consistent with the game's art style.
If you want to make said afros - or alternatively, commission an artist to do so - I'll implement them. Deal?

Well, it was worth tossing out there . . . just in case some whacky graphics person comes along and finds the idea hilarious and does it themselves!

I seem to recall a mod of Civilization(?) where every society in the game were varieties of Kittens or something like that!? I never played it, not my thing, but just as a creative endeavor (and something to put in your portfolio) it struck me as brilliant

Anyway, good on you for taking up a mod that someone has orphaned!

Now of course you realize, you'll be bombarded with requests for:
Punk Rock Foxes
Old Lady Foxes
Rasta Foxes
Heavy Metal Foxes, etc.
