There were a couple mods out there for getting the Leopard in career before this one showed up but they were both workarounds. This one (available on Nexus mods) is head and shoulders above the rest. It's well crafted, and very nicely thought out. And you do have the ability if you desire to go get an Argo through a series of flashpoint's very like the Heavy Metal linked flashpoint series.

First you really do start with the Leopard with room for 6 mech's and 8 mech warrior's beside your self. Farah starts as part of your crew and initially presents you with the lead to acquire an Argo (after a period of time. doesn't happen right off the bat). You can choose if you wish to just ignore the FP's and stick with the Leopard. But the difference in feel between the mod flash points and the way you get the Argo in the Arano story line are quite different. You do work for it.

I am not going to give any details on the flash points them selves though I do have a very tiny quibble in that I think they should be more difficult or perhaps have "oh dear good we're all going to die" difficulty setting.. you know for folks like ohh lets say "The Edmon" for example. But for the average player they're likely adequate, and sufficient fun which really is all the matters.

I have nothing but kudo's over all for this mod and encourage you to pick it up and add it to your modded game.
No doubt the creator may refine it a bit in the future but right now it's seriously decent. I have finished the FP series and acquired the Argo for my use with this mod and feel I've worked for it.

Thanks TLRoff!

I wanted the flash points to be a challenge, but still easy enough to do early enough that the Argo can still be fully upgraded before the career ends. My issue with the flash points is that they are too short and feel too linear. I may work on that at some point.

Linear could be value-added if the Antagonist were say different cells of a Militant Terrorist.

Then rather than major restructuring, you could just refine the Text, maybe add a triggered Event.

In the end it might just be akin to the HEAVY METAL Mini-Campaign... albeit, one that relies heavily on Armor and Turrets and be reasonably expected to be completed by a Leopard-based Mercenary Lance.

hopefully the mod author can make this compatible with some of the larger mod packs.
currently it is not compatible with Battletech Advanced 3062

it is also not currently compatible with the Bigger Drops mod ( a sub mod that uses Mission Control) until after you get the Argo.

I absolutely love the mod myself. I also happen to think that HBS should offer the fellow some cash and incorporate it into the core game for "Career" play. Just a "OMG this is freak'n hard version" is called for... but that just me!

Absolutely excellent. And all ready in the running for Battletech Mod of the Year as far as I'm concerned. While the Advanced 3062 might have some issues with it and maybe one or two of the other Mech Engineer based mods (any mod that alters anything to do with the Argo is going to have problems because your going to end up trying to mod a mod and that is usually problematic though if ya'll ask him really really nice he might do a Adv-62 specific version) any mod that doesn't do such should be fine. I run it two different installs. One build around Haydes Rim, and the other built up around JK mods, the SLDF mod and a few other mini mods. I'm sad to say I don't run any of the mech Engineer based mods at all because they're trying to emulate TT construction rules and well...it's emulation... maybe in a few more months or so as the ME package is refined further.
