I've been planning on making a Pre-Columbian mod for a while, and I've added in part of the map before for a previous mod I did (Sons of Vinland). Right now I'm looking to add in most of the Americas. I've been editing the map and right now I've just added in South America, the Caribbean and California. Anyone want to help?

Planned Features:

New Government Types
European Invasion
New Portraits
New Unit Graphics
New Religions and Cultures
New Events

I'd be interested in helping out by the way! I don't have a lot of experience with CK2 Modding(I have some coding experience, have made some really simple mods to understand the system, and have completely failed to really wrap my head around mapping). That being said I do have a lot of knowledge of colonial history, especially slavery, and have taken a class on Indigenous history though the accounts of the Jesuit Relations.

It looks sick <3 I'd love to help you, but I don't really know much about Americas. Only that Incas were incestrous XD

P.S.: What will be startdates and timespan of the mod?

What is your timeframe of the scenario?
While I was working on Jade Serpent, I did a lots researches on "Mesoamerican"(or whatever you call that) history of the pre-Columbian era.
Due to lacking of attested history resources, your map will be full with fictional characters, that would be yet another plain custom shattered world map.

That's a feeble of an overhauling map mod.

Are you interesting in writing and adopting brand new alternative history for your mod?

Do you think most of it could be extrapolated? Or would it literally require inventing cultures etc

I could help with southern cultures/nations, EU4 got some things wrong (like that Mapuche flag and tag xd) and of course most of the Andes would be needed to be made impassable (because it still is!)

Depending on the actual start date you can add real rulers/certain things that arent on all history books (i.e. Santiago de Chile was an Incan settlement when the Spaniards got here and that was discovered a few years ago because our conquerors were a group of lazy dudes with futuristic weapons)

And depending on the scope of the project some things could be made to create differences between the cultures, the Muisca (Colombia) were traders, the Cañari fought a war/rivalry against the Inca that was being a " thing" until the arrival of the Spaniards, the Aimara had advanced agricultural techniques while living in a mostly desertic zone...etc...etc.

And of course Mesoamerica will be a headache depending on how detailed you want it to be. :p

I am completely in love with Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican, if you want I can help you research or sent you sources. The Americas are so much more than only Aztecs, Mayas and Incas

I wanna play as the mexican byzantine empire in that screenshot lol

Is this gonna be alt history where America has ridable horses?
